		<description>Hello Annette,  I honestly don&#039;t know what they need.  They seem to thrive in Illinois and our winters are quite harsh and at the same time our summers are really hot and humid.  I don&#039;t water them much because they don&#039;t care for too much moisture.  The purple cone flowers are also known as echinacea.

Chilly frosty mornings are good for a cup of tea and warm breakfast scones with jam.   I do miss good ol scones.  It&#039;s difficult to find them here.</description>

		<description>I have tried growing those flowers in Christchurch but never had the success you have there.  Do they need REALLY hot weather to flourish?
Or is it our frosts that don&#039;t do them any favours? 
Anyhow its a great photo to enjoy on a chilly frosty morning back here.</description>
